Ottawa, Canada – For the first time in the nation’s capital, Pho Long Den / Viet Moon Festival will take place on September 26 and 27, 2025.

Inspired by the Mid-Autumn Festival, the event brings the beauty of Vietnamese culture to Ottawa’s multicultural community and creates opportunities to connect Vietnamese people in Canada.

“Sparking Ottawa with the Spirit of Vietnam.”

Vanessa Vu Tuong Van: A cultural bridge and Vietnamese ambassador

Vanessa Vu Tuong Van was born in Ho Chi Minh City, moved to the United States at a young age, and now lives in Phoenix, Arizona.

She works in the real estate industry while also serving as the Executive Director of a mental health center.

In the promotional images for the Pho Long Den Festival, Vanessa wears a special camisole (yếm), which is in fact a hand-painted scarf by a Vietnamese artist, printed exclusively for the event.

The outfit is showcased and sold exclusively at Pho Long Den, reflecting the creativity and community spirit of young Vietnamese artists.

Vanessa serves as a cultural bridge and image ambassador, enhancing the value of the festival and promoting Vietnamese culture to the international community.

“Every detail of the event makes me feel the power of Vietnamese culture. By taking part in promoting these values, I am not only preserving traditions but also connecting the Vietnamese community with international friends.” – Vanessa Vu Tuong Van
